1.  "Scratch off" logo animation from Lottery commercial.

("Scratch off" music from commercial.)

2.  Interior, Super America Station. Close-up of Narrator's hand, matching the animated action in the first visual, scratching off a Lottery ticket while standing at the counter. As we move up and out to a medium shot, He/she looks up from ticket to address camera.

(Music ends)

NARRATOR: Like you, I buy State Lottery games because the proceeds benefit Minnesota's economic and natural environment.

(Smiles)

Well, okay, I really buy 'em because they're fun, and there's a chance I might find a winner. Before I scratch it off, this little ticket could be just about anything. But even if it turns out to be worth just a few moments' entertainment, this is a pretty fascinating piece of paper.

3.  Narrator (different angle or focal length).

Where do these games come from? How do they make the tickets? How do they ensure everything is fair? And most important, how do they go about paying me when I win that big prize? That's what we're about to explore.

The Lottery story starts with an idea for a game.  Ever wonder who thinks these things up?

4.  Segment of Lottery commercial with loons driving boat and water skiing. Freeze-frame image.  Superimpose graphic:

Let the games begin!
