Free-lance writer/director, Boston, MA 1999 to present.  Copywriting and audio/video production.

Associate Creative Director (interim), Dickinson Direct, Braintree, MA, June 2000 – January 2001.  Provided creative direction, creative conceptual work and senior level copywriting on projects for clients including Genuity, VERITAS, Virtual Ink, The Learning Company and athenahealth.com. 

Creative Director/Principal, Media Rare, Minneapolis, MN, 1990 to 1999. Responsibilities at this award-winning public relations firm included providing creative input, direction and consultation on a variety of projects.  Wrote and produced client work for radio, video, television and print.  Played key role in developing new business by providing creative on proposals and presenting proposals to prospects.  Managed creative staff of 8 – 10 writers, designers and audio/video production personnel.  Served as primary contact for many of the agency’s largest accounts, including the Minnesota State Lottery, the Pennsylvania Lottery, Minnesota State Parks, 3M, Teleport Communications Group, Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Choice-in-Education League of Minnesota. 

Managing Director, 15 HEAD – a theatre lab, Minneapolis, MN, 1996 to 1999.  Founded and incorporated a non-profit experimental theatre company.  Responsible for building board of directors, managing finances, media relations, writing grants and management of databases for mailing lists.

Managing Director, Theatre for Young America, Overland Park, KS, 1988 to 1990.  Theatre for Young America is a professional Equity theatre for young audiences. Responsibilities included: staff management, fundraising, program development, administration of $450,000 annual budget, booking and management of annual ten-week tour through mid-west, marketing and publicity, union negotiations, and representing theatre on local arts coalitions.
